Company Overview

In 1935, Dan Brock and Frank McVey founded Brock Mcvey Company as and plumbing supply house. East Vine and Schreve housed the first location. It proved so successful that in 1938 Brock Mcvey relocated to a larger facility on Vine and South Eastern.

Success continued! In 1952 the Frankfort and Maysville branchs were added to the Brock Mcvey family. 1953 saw the addition of refrigeration supply and the move to Midland Ave. in 1956 to accomidate the overwhelming success of the company.

Brock Mcvey continued to florush and in 1964 A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing of Dubuque, Iowa aquired the company with plans for continued expansion. In 1971 the Lexington showroom, The Fixture Gallery, was added as well as the Prestonsburg branch.

The insuing years saw the most aggressive growth of any Central Kentucky company. 1972 brought the acqusition of Wilson Machine for Industrial Supply, Bowling Green was added in 1976 and Corbin in 1981. The new home for all Brock Mcvey distribution came in 1985 with the addition of our 168,000 square foot Distribution Center.
